“You might not have failed on the scale I did. But some failure in life is inevitable. It is impossible to live without failing in something. Unless you live so causiously, that you might as well have not lived at all; in which case, you fail by default.” – J. K. Rowlling
Failure is not something rare. It is that which is very common in people and which pulls many people into its dark and gloomy world rendering them hamstrung and hopeless. It is the most dreaded, abhored and detested phase in life. Nevertheless, it is only few who understand what failure rudimentarily is. It is these few stoic people who build up the required mental fortitude and motivate themselves to make it through this exasperatingly annoying period. They pull themselves through petty humiliation and chagrin, directing their destiny towards what they feel is their righteously belonging place in the world. It is during failure, that the tensions and forces in life are at their highest. No other time in anyone’s life is more important that the one during failure. Both forces, the one which would bolt You up to heights that people even fear to dream about and the one which would say that no matter how firm You are, it would beat You to your knees and pummel You onto the ground that You would find it impossible to get back up, exist. It is during this period of time that demands You to take the most important decision of your life. The one that demands You to choose that force that you need. The one that demands You to strain your eyes to look towards the fine and slim ray of light and ignore the darkness all around. Once You choose to get back up and fight life to tear all the difficulties into pieces and trot hardily and firmly towards your goal, You are halfway through to make it enormously massive in life. It is, of course, your birth right to dream big and desire success in life and to achieve it. All it requires You to do is to endure the hardships, however frightening they might be, and sacrifices You are expected to make (by none other but yourself), however toll taking they might be. It is expected from your part to break the assiduous and sinewy yourself through that damn slumber and subject yourself submissively and servilely to your goals in entirety. There has never been a person who had given his best and regreted it and so wouldnt You. If anything or anyone is stopping You from being great, it is none other than You. With copious amounts of inspiration to back You, present in the world around and magnificently enormous amount of tolerance of your body, it would be rediculous on your part to blame anything for your dilapidated and stagnant life. Even an animal in the wild doesn’t mind bruising itself and suffering a few contusions to achieve its prey. It would be damnable if You submit yourself to the temporary and ignoble pleasures for they are corrupt in their very fundamnetal level in the first place. It is your duty, when You set goals, to constantly fight these petty pleasures that make You miss the wood for the trees and it is your duty to pray for basking the pure and prestine pleasures that success gives. It is only YOU, I repeat, that is stopping yourself from being great. It also is none other than YOU who has the discretion to decide your worth. It is time for You to break the ice and flounder yourself out of this doom to show the world a breakthrough of collossal level and write your own destiny with your own wisdom. PERIOD.
Allways your well wisher, – Pratheek M Reddy
